Oh Thank you,

Some how I stumbled upon your link!
I guess it was your title "My son is Autistic"

My Son is Autistic also and at the age of 2 he got a IEP
Individula Educational Plan.

Most children don't get that unitl they have been in school and the teachers have pick up on a "special need" and most of the time it is around 1st or 2nd grade!
Those children lost a lot of percious learning time!

But our children were blessed with great parents to know and admit my baby is different and to press on and face this battle head on!

I cried reading most of your post! I can SOOO identify with a lot of what you have said!

Some helpful hints if you ever see your boy spacing out STOP IT! Snap him out of it! Don't let him get lost in his own world. Interact with him imedatly bring his eyes to focus on yours and give him a big smile!

You are doing a excelent Job! You have cought this early! You love your boy enough to admit this and say HOW CAN I HELP him!

This is my boys second yr in school full time now and we had a meeting before the holidays and they said that he has improved alot!

My favorit saying is " He's getting there, He's not where he needs to be, but he's not where he used to be."

He will be 4, I say that and sometimes I catch myself saying things that I expect from a "TYPICAL" 4 yr old...then I stop myself and say he's only 2 developmently! UGH thats hard to swallow sometimes.

We are not fully potty trianed yet either. But were are not where we used to be. He knows what to do when we sit him on the potty, he just
can't tell us "OHHH OHH I GOT TO GO POTTY".

I have said enough!
God Loves you and gave him to you bc he knew you would know how to love a Angle like this!

Bless you and your husband!

Thanks for letting me know you have been writing this Jackie! We aren't able to talk as friends as frequently as we did for so many years growing up and I am glad you would be willing to include me in hearing about "everyday" occurrences and thoughts going on in your life. I miss knowing what is going on everyday, good or bad. Thank you. :)

Friends forever,
Butch... :)

Hey Jack,
This is so cool and I am excited to get on here and read everything you have to say. You are an amazing person and the best mom for Collin and Brady. I remember how you called me after I had Liam and just talked because you understood how I was feeling. Thank you for that. You have helped me and I know through this blog you will help so many others. Thank you for sharing your story.

Love you!!
